Golf around Da Nang and Hoi An: coast or foothills
Build a trip around contrasting courses and a comfortable pace. Tee times, transfers and plans for non-golfing companions matter as much as the course name.

Two settings to compare
Hoiana Shores offers a coastal links setting near Hoi An. Montgomerie Links sits on the regional coastal route and identifies Colin Montgomerie as its designer. Ba Na Hills Golf Club is a foothill course designed by Luke Donald. For two playing days, consider the change in landscape and terrain rather than trying to collect every course.
Choose a tee time before comparing rates
Morning, afternoon and twilight starts create different transport and dinner plans. Ba Na Hills has floodlights, but its official course page says night golf is offered on selected evenings: lighting does not guarantee a nightly slot. Ask about maintenance, tournaments and likely finish time before placing another fixed activity after the round.
Make quotations comparable
Check holes, caddie, cart, club rental, range balls, tax and transfers, plus conditions for a single cart or solo player. Supply group size, playing experience, left- or right-handed rental needs and golf-bag count. Playing from suitable tees is more useful for the group’s pace than choosing the longest setup.
Leave options for companions and weather
Non-golfers can plan a separate beach, café or spa visit and meet the group later. Play, suspension or cancellation in rain depends on the course’s decision and booking terms. Indoor simulator golf may be an alternative activity, but verify the venue, equipment and operating arrangements separately; it is not an included replacement.
